I think I kinda recall that there are actually old videogames/Nintendo games based on this story. And I've watched the anime too, that's why this sounds soooo familiar XD XD XD
But yeah... it's another historical period drama... but I suppose this one will be jam-packed with action~! Fufufufu... btw, turns out that it isn't a cinematic motion picture, but it's a TV SP DORAMA scheduled to be aired in Spring 2006 on TBS (same network as Zubari iu wa yo!) in 2 episodes only (2 days but not sure if it's consecutive or not)
I'm trying to read a synopsis but it's all soooo complicated and somewhat mystical... so there are 8 dog-samurai warriors born of a human mother (the princess of the Satomi clan) and a dog father.....? Thud... in a way they're like.. uh... Inuyasha? LOL!
Supposedly the father (Satomi Yoshizane) made a pact with his dog, Yatsufusa, that if the dog can kill and behead his mortal enemy, Anzai, the dog can marry his daughter. Lo and behold, the dog returned with the enemy's head in its jaws. But anyway, the princess honored her father's words and married the dog but she then later killed herself and her 8 sons were born as spirits and later on incarnated as 8 kick-ass samurais LOL... there was also some curse over the clan I'll read more later when my internet goes better...

LOL... while Koichi mopes longer (5 years) before he marries Junno and dies in Junno's arms THUD... OK..... aki... I think we should stop doing these loser memes ne... But it does bring a very colorful afternoon, and a whole lotta flooding to my LJ comment box! LOL!

On the previous Takiren (#168) he writes it all as 「コウタン」 (Koutan) and in this volume (#169) he wrote 「コンタン」 (KoNtan) and now I'm wondering if this is a true-blue honest TYPO MISTAKE or if they're actually both two different people, or if this is some kind of a dirty Takki trick he's pulling on us again?
